In this free home empowerment workshop\, an Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation attorney will provide an overview of tenant’s rights in Georgia with the goal of equipping tenants with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep themselves and their families safely housed. Topics will include eviction defense\, a landlord’s duty to repair\, Georgia’s new landlord retaliation statute\, and more. Following the presentation\, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions.
