The Atlanta Land Trust (ALT) continues to make progress on predevelopment activities for 120 new homes across three sites in the Oakland City and East Lake neighborhoods. All three of ALT’s projects present urgent opportunities to mitigate gentrification resulting from public investments in the area with a comprehensive, equity-driven approach that connects people, place, and quality of life.
Closing is expected this summer on the donation of a two-acre site in the East Lake neighborhood from the CF Foundation. ALT has received a land disturbance permit for the construction of The Avenue at Oakland City and a Certificate of Appropriateness from the city of Atlanta for The Trust at Oakland City, both in the Oakland City neighborhood.
ALT is excited to introduce our new Manager of Portfolio Development, Grace Roth. Grace will support the growth of ALT’s portfolio of permanently affordable housing through the implementation of new programs and construction of homes.
Several scattered-site single-family homes are under development, including three additional homes in Grove Park and the Pittsburgh neighborhood.
